Clear answers before you ask.
Straight answers about what Loomi does with your reports, your numbers, and your data — no jargon.
What is Loomi?
Loomi takes the VAT work out of selling across Europe. Upload the transaction reports you already have (from Amazon, or our simple template if you sell somewhere else) and Loomi turns them into clear, country-by-country VAT figures — every sale, refund, and stock movement accounted for, with tax experts reviewing anything unusual.
What do I need to get started?
If you sell on Amazon: your VAT Transactions report and an inventory report with your product costs — files you most likely already have. Selling somewhere else? Fill in our simple downloadable template with your transactions instead — no special export needed. Either way, fill in your company profile once, upload, and that's it — Loomi even detects the reporting period from the file, so there's nothing to configure.
What happens after I upload?
Loomi reads your report and sorts every line: local sales, cross-border OSS sales, exports, returns, warehouse movements, and more. A few minutes later you'll have totals per country and a transaction-by-transaction view you can filter, search, and export — with a plain explanation behind every figure.
Some of my transactions say 'Review'. What does that mean?
It means we'd rather check than guess. When a transaction is missing a piece of information — a product cost, for example — Loomi flags it and tells you exactly what's needed instead of silently assuming. That honesty is what keeps your numbers trustworthy.
Can Loomi handle international VAT?
Yes — EU cross-border VAT (OSS) is exactly what Loomi is built for. Loomi prepares the German, French and Spanish VAT returns, the Union OSS return and the EC Sales Lists, and tracks the deadlines of every EU country you're registered in. Whenever you want, the Loomi tax team files a country's returns for you, so the whole picture is covered in one place.
How much does Loomi cost?
Your first upload, the VAT Health Check, is free. After that it's one monthly subscription that follows your VAT registrations: €19 a month for the platform (up to 20 report uploads a month and Messages with the Loomi tax team), €25 a month for each VAT registration in your Business Profile, the Union OSS included, and, when you want the Loomi tax team to file for you, €64 a month per country (€95 for Finland, Bulgaria, Romania and Czechia, €68 for the Union OSS return). Prices exclude VAT; cancel anytime.
I'm an accountant. Can I use Loomi for my clients?
Yes. Sign up for your clients and set up your practice: your team works every client's VAT in one place, asks clients for their files with a private link, and hands returns to the Loomi tax team when you want. A practice pays €44 a month per VAT registration across its clients, with no platform fee, plus €50 for each return the Loomi tax team files for a client (€84 in Finland, Bulgaria, Romania and Czechia), billed at the end of the month.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, protected by strict access controls, and continuously monitored. Your reports are used for one thing only: getting your VAT right.
Do I still need my accountant?
Loomi works beautifully alongside accountants. Instead of handing over a shoebox of CSVs, you (or they) get clean, explained, exportable figures — every transaction traceable to how it was treated. Many sellers simply find there's much less left for the accountant to do.
How do I get started?
Create an account, complete the short setup, and upload your first report — most sellers see their numbers in under two minutes. If anything's unclear, our team is one message away.
